E Mac Bus Tours are delighted to offer a 1 day tour to some of Scotlands most spectacular scenery, steeped in history with the best views of Scotland.
Your Glasgow Coach Tour of Loch Lomond starts in George Square and as we leave the wonderful city of Glasgow behind we travel Northwest and almost immediately experience dramatic scenery as we travel along the shores of Loch Lomond. Stopping briefly at “The Rest and be Thankful” on our way to the enchanting Highland town of Inveraray on the shores of Loch Fyne. Here we stop to take in the beauty of the Duke of Argyll’s Castle, chief of the Campbell Clan.
We then travel towards Oban along Loch Awe and stopping to take in the magnificent Kilchurn Castle former home to the Campbells of Breadalbane.
On our arrival in Oban, gateway to the isles, we stop for lunch of your choice, and would strongly recommend the sea food restaurants at the harbour.
GLENCOE LOCH LOMOND
After lunch we continue North along the west coast passing yet another castle, Castle Stalker and into GLENCOE. We stop for a few photo opportunities along the way in this awe inspiring landscape where you will hear stories about its darker side of 1692 where one of Scotlands ugliest massacres took place. We then travel through Rannoch Moor which is beautiful, mystical and desolate all at the same time but no matter the weather it WILL take your breath away.
As we head South we travel through Glen Falloch and onto Loch Lomond where Ben Lomond comes into view.
Our final stop before travelling back to Glasgow is to the 18th Century conservation village of Luss and take in the sites of the quaint victorian workers cottages. Many TV programmes have been filmed here.
We head back to Glasgow where your E Mac Bus tour ends in George Square.
